SUMMARY

When it launched, back in 2012, Rolex’s Sky-Dweller was the first entirely new line in twenty years. It was not the first calendar watch, Rolex previously having produced the Dato-compax chronograph and the Triple-date-moon-phase, but it was by far the most complex, offering the combination of an annual calendar and second time-zone indication.

Previously only available on a bracelet, 2020 saw the introduction of the rubber Oysterflex option for those who wanted a lighter and more sporty option. The head of the watch maintains the same intuitive access to the calendar and time-zone functions via the rotating ‘Ring command’ bezel. This is example is specified with an eye-catching sunburst chocolate dial which nicely complements the gold’s warm tones.

Powered by the calibre 9001, the Sky-dweller offers 72 hours of power reserve, while the Oyster case provides water resistance to 100 meters.
