• In 2022 Audemars Piguet celebrated the 50th anniversary of its iconic Royal Oak having first launched the watch in 1972
• ​Famously designed by Gérald Genta, the Royal Oak set the scene for the modern luxury sports watch category
• The Royal Oak became instantly recognisable thanks to its signature octagonal bezel with eight hexagonal screws, ‘Tapisserie’ dial, and integrated bracelet
• ​This celebratory Royal Oak Chronograph reference was created to mark 50 years of production for this iconic sports watch
• The distinctive 41mm diameter case and the accompanying integrated bracelet are crafted from a blend of brushed and polished stainless steel, both of which reflect Audemars Piguet’s much-vaunted attention to detail
• ​A black ‘Grande Tapisserie’ dial with white gold applied batons, Royal Oak hands, three sub dials, plus the famed octagonal bezel and its white gold screws all contribute to the watch’s purposeful aesthetic
