• ​​Introduced in 2013 to mark 50 years since the launch of its famous chronograph, the reference 116506 was Rolex's first series-production Daytona to be offered in platinum
• The factory diamond pavé dial replaces the ice-blue dial usually seen on this reference
• The sub-dials remain finished in this distinctive colour and are complemented by the blued white gold hand-set
• Tying the Daytona into its motorsports heritage is a tachymeter-engraved bezel finished in brown Cerachrom
• ​Despite its significant heft, the Daytona’s case is both ergonomic and wrist-friendly thanks to a height of just 12.2mm and a width of 40mm
• Internally, the watch is powered by Rolex’s chronometer-certified calibre 4130, an automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve
