SUMMARY
The Rolex GMT Master-II 'Rootbeer' was launched in 2018 much to the excitement of The Crown's collectors and aficionados around the world. Known officially as the reference 126711CHNR, the watch is a significant milestone in the GMT-Master II family, as it was the first watch to incorporate 18K rose gold into the model line. It gained its "Root Beer" nickname as a result of its brown and gold design elements, which draw on very early 1950s versions of this iconic Rolex travel companion. These colours are also reflected on the bi-directional GMT bezel. Despite some of its retro characteristics, this 2019 watch is very much a modern Rolex. It wears the brand's 40mm case featuring squared-off lugs to give the watch a more elegant profile and a better ergonomic fit. Beneath the screw-down rear casing beats Rolex's chronometer-certified 3285 calibre movement, an automatic movement with a 70-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
