For auction through a private seller, this bi-metal Rolex Yacht-Master is presented as a full set from its original owner. Purchased from a reputable UK-based authorised dealer, the watch comes with original display box and outer sleeve, its user manual, service booklet, plus proof of its five-year Rolex warranty protecting it until 2023. Furthermore, the vendor has included the watch’s swing tags as part of the ensemble and. The reference wears some light marks and scratches; the most noticeable of which are on the upper right-hand of the bezel and the centre links of the bracelet. Nonetheless, the watch is reported to be in good working order and fits within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.

Geared towards relaxed, seafaring pursuits such as sailing and coastal relaxation, the GMT-Master II is Rolex’s definitive sports watch. This particular watch is finished in a blend of stainless steel and 18K rose gold, with the stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter. The reference’s 18K rose gold, bi-directional bezel surrounds a sunburst ‘chocolate’ brown dial, which serves as a playful point of visual curiosity and contrast. This unusually-coloured dial is fitted with a mix of easy-to-read triangles, circles, and baton-form hour markers, whilst a trademark Rolex cyclops lens is located above the date window at three o’clock. Anchored to the watch is a bi-metal interpretation of Rolex’s ‘Oyster’ bracelet. Forged largely from brushed stainless steel, the bracelet’s most striking visual feature is its centre links, which are finished in a bezel-matching 18K rose gold. The watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 metres. Beneath the screw-down rear is Rolex’s 3135 calibre, which is chronometer-certified and widely-loved amongst enthusiasts for its dependability and accuracy. Comprising 31 jewels and beating at 28,800 bph, the 3135 calibre has a power reserve of up to 48 hours and its parachrom spring offers a greater resistance to shocks and temperature variations.

Introduced in 1992, the Yacht-Master was the first all-new Rolex for three decades until the Sky-Dweller arrived in 2012. Revered thanks to its unisex design and wide-variety of colour combinations, the Yacht-Master is one of Rolex’s most popular ‘modern’ references yet.
