KEY FACTS

• ​​Introduced in 2013 to mark 50 years since the launch of its eponymous motorsport-inspired watch, the reference 116506 was the first series-production Daytona to be offered in platinum; albeit in extremely limited numbers
• The dial’s ice blue finish is used exclusively by Rolex for its platinum watches
• Complementing this distinctive colouring is a brown Cerachrom bezel and matching brown chronograph sub-registers
