ABOUT THIS WATCH
- Rolex’s hardcore dive watch, the Deepsea “D-Blue”, boasts an impressive water resistance of 12,800 feet/3,900 metres, and honours James Cameron’s 2012 expedition to the bottom of the Mariana Trench; Earth’s deepest oceanic trough
- Setting the D-Blue apart from the standard Deepsea is its distinctive blue-to-black gradient dial and ‘DEEPSEA’ script in bright green reflecting the colour of Cameron’s submarine
- Rolex’s decision to move ‘DEEPSEA’ to the bottom half of the dial further separates this extreme diver from the standard watch
- This no-nonsense dive tool is presented in a robust 44mm steel case which is over 17mm thick
- Despite its heft, Rolex has fitted a titanium case back to give the watch improved ergonomics
- Housed inside the case is Rolex’s calibre 3135, a robust chronometer-certified movement with a 48-hour power reserve
