ABOUT THIS WATCH
- Released in 1993, the Offshore is a bigger, bolder, more rugged version of the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
- Despite its beefed up dimensions, the Offshore retains all of the design features that have made the Gérald Genta original such a classic
- Unmistakably “AP”, with its distinctive angular case, hexagonal bezel, the watch achieves maximum wrist presence
- The Offshore shocked the industry when it was announced almost 30 years ago with its robustness, thick profile and, of course, 42mm stainless steel case
- The Offshore is distinguished from the standard Royal Oak by the robust bezel gasket and rubber-clad crown and pushers
- This particular reference is nicknamed ‘Safari’ due to its off-white and brown tones
- The watch is equipped with a 12-hour chronograph displayed in sub-registers
- Powering the watch is the in-house calibre 3126/3840, boasting a 55-hour power reserve, chronograph and date complications
