ABOUT THIS WATCH

  • Introduced in 2005 to celebrate 50 years of the iconic Rolex GMT-Master, the reference 116718LN ushered in a new era for the brand, and was the first ever Rolex GMT-Master II to be paired with the Geneva Giant’s ceramic ‘Cerachrom’ bezel and its then-new ‘Maxi’ case
  • Measuring 40mm across, the ‘Maxi’ case has wider, squarer lugs than its predecessors, offering a more substantial feel on the wrist
  • In addition to being an unofficial celebratory piece, ref. 116718 is also highly-sought after amongst collectors thanks to its eye-catching green dial, which contrasts with the rest of the watch’s 18K yellow gold finish
  • Beneath the 18K yellow gold caseback beats Rolex’s calibre 3186, an automatic certified-chronometer with a GMT function capable of tracking multiple time-zones simultaneously
  • Calibre 3186 has a power reserve of 48-hours
