ABOUT THIS WATCH
- The Rolex Daytona ‘Beach’ is a collection of watches launched by the Crown in 2000 to introduce some fun and vibrancy to the model line
- Available in pink, yellow, turquoise, or green, these colourful references are crafted from luxurious 18K white gold and paired with a matching dial and lizard strap
- This example is the pink variant, and has a Mother of Pearl dial finished with applied 18K white gold Roman numeral dials
- Despite its playful nature, the Beach is still very much a Daytona and retains the standard watch’s 40mm diameter case, three chronograph sub-registers, and fixed tachymeter bezel
- Like its contemporaries, the Beach is driven by Rolex’s calibre 4130, an automatic chronometer-certified movement with a 72-hour power reserve
- In addition to its tried-and-tested movement and iconic Daytona design, the Beach offers genuine utility thanks to a water resistance of 100 metres
