SUMMARY
The ref. 16600 represents the final chapter for the classic ‘five-digit’ Sea-Dwellers and strikes the perfect balance between modern construction and vintage design cues. The 40mm stainless steel case has a trip lock crown and helium escape valve, affording a mammoth 4,000-feet of waterproofness. The uni-directional bezel has an aluminium insert; the last time Rolex would use this on a Sea-Dweller before switching to ceramic. Applied markers and hands are made from 18K white gold and filled with Super-LumiNova for supreme legibility. Attached to the case is a satin-finished Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock clasp and diver’s extension. Powering the ref. 16600 is the tried and tested calibre 3135, which has a 48-hour power reserve and is chronometer certified.
