SUMMARY

First launched in 1956 as the world’s first chronometer wristwatch that could display the week’s date and day through windows in its dial, the Day-Date has become synonymous with luxury as a flagship model in Rolex’s catalogue. Measuring 36mm in diameter, this Rolex Day-Date is finished entirely in striking 18K yellow gold. The fluted bezel and President bracelet earmark this watch as one of the all-time classic Rolex references. The ‘champagne’ dial blends seamlessly with the rest of the watch’s configuration, and furthermore, its baton hour markers are also finished in gold. In line with the rest of the Day-Date family, the day sub-register is located at 12 o’clock, and the date window is located beneath a cyclops magnifier at the 3 o’clock position.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
