• ​Produced between 1989 and 2011, the Explorer II ref. 16570 is a no-nonsense tool watch with a kind of rugged charm no longer seen in modern Rolexes 
• This reference combines modern reliability with classic styling reminiscent of vintage pieces 
• The 40mm size is a departure from the larger dimensions seen on contemporary examples and offers suitability for a wide range of wrist sizes
• ​A red GMT hand and brushed 24-hour bezel allow the wearer to track two time zones simultaneously 
• Rolex's tried and tested calibre 3185 beats inside, offering chronometer-certified accuracy alongside a 48 hour power reserve
• This 1999 example features a ‘polar’ white dial, which offers something unique within the Rolex sports watch catalogue  
• Adding further collectability is its 'Swiss-only' designation, referring to the “SWISS” script at 6 o’clock which signifies the use of Luminova
