ABOUT THIS WATCH

• ​Manufactured from 1962 to 1989, the 5513 is among the longest continually produced watch references in Rolex’s celebrated history
• This reference was famously worn by Roger Moore in the 1973 James Bond movie 'Live and Let die'
• Cosmetically, the ‘two line’ dial has a cleaner and more symmetrical look which is appreciated by collectors 
• Widely praised for its simple aesthetic, the 5513 was the last ‘no-date’ Submariner to be offered with an acrylic crystal and a matte dial
• Designed to be a more accessible no-nonsense version of Rolex’s iconic dive watch, the 5513 is driven by the non-chronometer certified calibre 1520; a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve
• A screw-down crown and Oyster case deliver 200 metres of waterproofness (not currently tested)
• Rounding out this appealing vintage example is the attached Oyster bracelet which has become synonymous with Submariner
