ABOUT THIS WATCH
- The Bel Canto C1 from British watchmaker, Christopher Ward, offers haute horlogerie features usually reserved for watches at significantly higher price points
- This highly technical reference recently won the 2023 GPHG 'Petite Aiguille' prize for the best watch with a retail price between CHF 2,000 and CHF 8,000
- It incorporates a striking mechanism known as a 'Sonnerie Au Passage' which chimes to mark the hour every 60 minutes
- This feature comes courtesy of the FS01 calibre movement with a new in-house module created by Christopher Ward's technical director, Frank Stelzer
- The case and bracelet are constructed from titanium, which was chosen explicitly to improve the resonance of the chime
