SUMMARY
Known by collectors as the “Root Beer” in honour of vintage references sharing brown design accents, the ref. 126711CHNR was launched in 2018 as an extension of Rolex’s long-running and iconic GMT-Master II model line. Alongside its all-gold counterpart, it is historically significant for being the first to incorporate rose gold. The watch has a 40mm case that wears with more wrist presence than its dimensions would suggest, thanks to the wide squared-off lugs synonymous with modern Rolex design. The bi-colour ‘Cerachrom’ insert is finished in black and brown as a first for the line and complements the rose gold elements, including the bezel, crown, and bracelet centre links. Rolex’s latest generation calibre 3285 movement is housed underneath the screw-down case back, which is equipped with a 70-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
