SUMMARY
Merging classic racing design cues with diving elements, this modern Black Bay Chrono harkens back to mid-century sports watches. No longer available in the Tudor catalogue, the stainless steel case measures 41mm in diameter and wears tall on the wrist at 15mm in height. A brushed bezel displays a tachymeter scale for measuring a race car’s average speed over time. The black dial is highly legible and incorporates the same applied hour markers and “snowflake” hands seen on other Black Bay models. Chronograph and running seconds sub-dials are positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock. Thanks to a screw-down crown and pushers, the water resistance is rated at a healthy 200m, as signified by the red script. Paired to the case is a stainless-steel bracelet finished with rivet-style polished sides and a folding clasp with a safety catch. Internally, the watch is powered by the Tudor calibre MT5813, which is equipped with a column-wheel chronograph and has a 70-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
