SUMMARY
Originally launched in 1956 as a watch aimed at scientists and technicians, this contemporary Milgauss Z Blue reimagines the model in a more colourful and attention-grabbing aesthetic. The dial is striking - made with zirconium - it has a sunburst finish which reflects the light in different ways as it moves across the radial grain. Perhaps equally as captivating is the green-tinted sapphire crystal, which is exclusive to the Milgauss and creates a halo effect around the edge of the glass. Orange accents provide additional colour, and the lightning bolt seconds hand is a nod to the original Milgauss from the 1950s. Housed underneath the screw-down case back, and covered by an anti-magnetic Faraday cage, is the calibre 3131. This automatic movement has a 48-hour power reserve, chronometer certification and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds a day.
