Sell it with usThis Rolex Daytona ref. 116509 was purchased new by the vendor from a Rolex authorised dealer. The watch is presented as a full set and accompanied by the display box, outer box, warranty card, sleeve, booklets and swing tags. The vendor advises it’s in mint condition, and it appears to be within the bounds of their ‘AA’ grading.
The case and bracelet of this example are finished in solid white gold - offering plenty of heft to this stealthy precious metal reference. The 40mm diameter and relative thinness provide an ergonomic fit for any wrist size. This example features a striking sunburst blue dial with sporty red accents applied to the sub-registers, minutes track and “DAYTONA” script - tying into the watch’s motorsport heritage. A screw-down crown and pushers ensure 100m of water resistance, further adding to the Daytona’s versatility.
Housed underneath the screw-down case back is Rolex’s in-house calibre 4130. First introduced in 2000, this robust and reliable chronograph movement is chronometer-certified and equipped with an impressive 72-hour power reserve. The watch is secured to the wrist via a solid white gold Oyster bracelet with polished centre links.
The Daytona has long been one of Rolex’s most coveted watches. With a history in motor racing, the model represents the perfect combination of sporty looks and luxuriousness.
