SUMMARY
Since its release in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date has been worn by numerous heads of state, and so this iconic timepiece has garnered the nickname the “Presidents’ watch”. The Day-Date is one of Rolex’s most revered designs as it was the world’s first chronometer wristwatch to display the date and day. The case of this particular reference measures 40mm in diameter and is fitted with the Day-Date’s trademark ‘President’ bracelet. Meanwhile, the line’s ‘Cyclops’ magnifier is positioned over the date window at three o’clock, and the dial is surrounded by the instantly-recognisable fluted bezel. Beneath the screw-down rear case back beats Rolex’s in-house developed 3255 calibre; a highly-precise certified chronometer movement packing a power reserve of 70 hours.
