SUMMARY
Part of IWC’s current catalogue, the reference IW388103 features a cockpit-instrument-inspired dial synonymous with the company’s Pilot watches. Presented here with a sunburst green dial and concentric guilloche sub-registers, it fully embodies its nature of being a tool watch, but with a contemporary twist. Large numerals on the dial aid legibility while a small red hand in the running seconds sub-register at 6 o’clock introduces a hint of colour. The 41mm stainless-steel case is predominantly satin-finished with finely polished bevels along the lugs. Beating within is the IWC-manufactured calibre 69385, a column-wheel chronograph movement that features a 46-hour power reserve, visible through the see-through sapphire glass back. Completing the utilitarian character of the watch is a screw-in crown granting 100m of water resistance.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
