SUMMARY

Created as a more rugged version of Audemars Piguet’s iconic Royal Oak, the Offshore launched in 1992 and its robust design and choice of bold colours immediately captured the imagination of watch collectors globally. Oft-described as the world’s first oversized luxury watch, this particular 2022 Royal Oak measures 42mm in diameter and is finished in lightweight titanium. Finely polished bevels along the lugs and bezel highlight the watchmaker’s attention to detail. The ‘mega tapisserie’ dial is finished in blue with red accents on the hands providing some additional sporty character. Beneath the rear casing beats Audemars Piguet’s 4401 calibre, which offers chronograph functionality and is equipped with a 70-hour power reserve.
