Offered by a private collector, this 2021 Rolex Yacht-Master ref. 126622 is accompanied by its box, warranty card, booklet and swing tag. The vendor advises the watch is unworn and some factory stickers are in place. Its condition appears to be consistent with their ‘AAA’ grading.

This latest ref. 126622 Yacht-Master maintains the same look and feel as its predecessor but houses Rolex's new-generation movement. Equipped with a “Chronergy” escapement, it delivers higher levels of anti-magnetism and an increased 70-hour power reserve.

The 40mm case distinguishes itself from other Rolex professional models with its more refined curves and fluid lines. It is also defined by its platinum bi-directional bezel that features a media blasted finish with raised and polished numerals and markers. In addition, this example has a striking sunburst blue dial with red accents on the seconds hand and the inscribed “YACHT-MASTER” text. Complementing the case is a three-link Oyster bracelet with polished centre links and an Easylink extension for tool-free adjustment.

The Yacht-Master was initially introduced in 1992 as a more opulent and upscale alternative to the Submariner. It’s characterised by a case more rounded and fluid than the slab-sided shape of other Rolex sports watches.
