Sell it with usThis 2021 Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Root Beer’ is offered for auction as a full set. The watch comes with the outer and display box, booklet, warranty card and swing tag. Rolex’s five-year international guarantee covers the watch until 2026. Presented without any significant marks or dents, it falls within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
The case of the watch measures 40mm across with Rolex’s modern wide squared-off lugs, giving the watch more wrist presence. Constructed from the luxurious yet elegant 18K rose gold - called Everose by Rolex - it sits between the attention-grabbing yellow gold and under-the-radar white gold.
The bi-colour ‘Cerachrom’ ceramic bezel insert is finished in black and brown, which nicely complements the gold’s warm tones. The hands and markers are also finished in precious metal and applied onto the lacquered black dial. Water-resistance is rated to 100m thanks to the screw-down trip-lock crown.
Housed inside the case is Rolex’s latest generation calibre 3285, which is chronometer-certified and tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day. The power reserve is rated at 70 hours.
Known by collectors as the “Root Beer” in reference to vintage models sharing similar design elements, the ref. 126715CHNR was launched in 2018 as an extension of Rolex’s long-running and iconic GMT-Master II model line. Alongside its two-tone counterpart, this reference is historically significant for being the first in the model line to incorporate rose gold.
