Sell it with usIn 2018, Rolex introduced rose gold on its iconic GMT-Master II. Two versions were released, one in full gold and the other in two-tone, as we see here. Enthusiasts have affectionately named it the “Root Beer” after a collectable GMT-Master from the 1960s, which shares a similar aesthetic.
The watch wears with more wrist presence than its 40mm case would suggest, thanks to the wide squared-off lugs synonymous with modern Rolex sports watches. A bi-directional rotating bezel made from rose gold displays a 24-hour scale through a “Cerachrom” ceramic insert. When referenced against the “GMT” hand, it allows the wearer to simultaneously track two time zones.
Also finished in precious metal are the hour markers, hands, bracelet centre links and screw-down crown, which delivers 100m of water resistance. Housed underneath the screw-down case back is Rolex’s latest generation calibre 3285 movement, which has a 70-hour power reserve, Chronometer certification and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day.
This July 2021 example is presented in mint, unworn condition with a number of factory protective stickers in place. Also included in the sale are the box, guarantee, booklet, and swing tags. Rolex’s five-year warranty provides cover until 2026.
