Sell it with usIn 2018, Rolex introduced Everose gold on the GMT-Master II. Two versions were released, one in full gold and the other in two-tone, as we see here. Collectors and enthusiasts have affectionately named this watch the “Root Beer” after a GMT-Master from the 1960s which shared a similar aesthetic.
The 40mm “super case” case wears slightly larger than its stated dimensions, thanks to the wide squared-off lugs. Everose hands and markers are applied to the gloss black dial and filled with Rolex’s proprietary Chromalight luminescence. The trip-lock crown that delivers 100 metres of water resistance is also made of Everose, as is the bi-directional Cerachrom rotating bezel. The Oyster bracelet has polished Everose centre links and the Easylink extension system provides the wearer with 5mm of tool-free adjustment. Inside the watch beats the latest calibre 3285 which has a 70-hour power reserve, COSC certification and is internally tested by Rolex to run from +2 to -2 seconds per day.
This 2021 example is presented in mint condition with the factory plastic protective stickers in place on the crown guards. Also included in the sale are the box, guarantee, booklet, and swing tags. Rolex’s five-year warranty provides cover until 2026, with an additional five years provided by Watches of Switzerland Group.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
