SUMMARY
Rolex surprised collectors and enthusiasts at Watches and Wonders 2021 by not only revising the size of the Explorer to the more traditional 36mm, but releasing a version in two-tone, as we see here. After a legacy of mountaineering and exploration, the Explorer is now available in a more opulent steel and yellow gold for the first time in its history. What has remained is the model’s iconic dial layout with Arabic numerals at 3,6 and 9. The watch is powered by Rolex’s latest generation calibre 3230, which features Chronometer certification, a 70-hour power reserve, and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to –2 seconds per day.
