ABOUT THIS WATCH
- Rolex’s hardcore dive tool, the Deepsea Sea-Dweller, was first introduced in 2008 and showcases the brand’s technical achievements around water resistance
- More than tripling the depth capabilities of the standard Sea-Dweller, its waterproofness is rated at an impressive 12,800 feet / 3,900 metres
- This robust sports watch is finished in stainless steel and incorporates a titanium case back for better ergonomics
- This D-Blue version of the Deepsea commemorates James Cameron’s decent to the Mariana Trench - the world’s deepest oceanic trough
- The watch takes on all of the model’s technical capabilities but introduces some aesthetic changes that set it apart from the standard version
- These include a distinctive blue to black gradient face and “DEEPSEA” script that has been moved to the bottom half of the dial and is coloured bright green to match Cameron’s submarine
- Powering the watch is the calibre 3235, which offers 70 hours of power reserve, anti-magnetic construction, and Rolex’s Chronergy escapement
