Sell it with usThe Daytona has long been one of Rolex’s most coveted watches. With a history in motor racing, the model represents the perfect combination of sporty looks and luxuriousness. The reference 116508 elevates this to new levels, with its solid 18K yellow gold construction delivering maximum heft and wrist presence. The svelte 40mm case is supremely wearable, particularly for a watch that incorporates chronograph functionality. It’s complemented by a crisp white dial with applied gold hour markers and coronet at 12 o’clock. A hint of colour is introduced through the ‘DAYTONA’ script that curves around the sub-register at 6 o’clock.
Despite its opulent persona, the watch has genuine utility with 100m of water resistance thanks to its screw-down crown and pushers - making it suitable for any occasion. Housed underneath the case back is the Chronometer-certified calibre 4130. This tried and tested movement has been powering the Daytona for over 20 years and is equipped with a 72-hour power reserve. The watch is secured to the wrist via a solid gold Oyster bracelet with an Easylink extension in the clasp delivering the convenience of tool-free adjustment.
This 2021 example has been lightly worn and is within the bounds of the seller’s A grading. Included in the sale are the box, guarantee card, and booklet. Rolex’s five-year warranty covers the watch until 2026.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
