Sell it with usOffered for auction by a UK-based jeweller, this Rolex Daytona is sold along with its box, booklet, warranty and swing tag. Presented without any visible signs of wear, it is consistent with the seller’s ‘AA’ grading.
Striking the perfect balance between sport and luxury, the 40mm case of the Daytona is both ergonomic and supremely wearable. This reference 116509 we see here is constructed entirely from 18K white gold, benefiting from the heft and discreteness of precious white metal. This example we see here features a black dial with silver sub-registers and factory-set diamond hour markers. The hands and Rolex coronet are also finished in 18K white gold. A screw-down crown and pushers afford 100m of water resistance and further add to the watch’s versatility. Inside the case beats the tried and tested calibre 4130 movement, which features a 72-hour power reserve and is chronometer-certified. The watch is secured to the wrist by a three-link Oyster bracelet with polished centre links and an Oysterlock safety clasp.
The ref. 116509 seen here is truly a piece of incredible craftsmanship. Combining the significance of the Daytona range and retaining the sporty looks but with the added luxury of diamonds and white gold, this timepiece makes a statement without overdoing it.
