Own a similar Audemars Piguet?
Sell it with usGerald Genta once said that the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was the masterpiece design of his illustrious career. Inspired by a deep-sea diver’s helmet, this revolutionary steel watch was characterised by its octagonal shaped bezel secured by eight visible hexagonal gold screws, and a dial adorned with an exclusive and distinctive blue petit tapisserie motif.
Sometimes a watch and its bracelet feel like two different components, but not with the Royal Oak, which sets a high bar in the integrated bracelet category. The super comfortable and flexible bracelet is every much as big a star here as that tapisserie dial which the Royal Oak has become synonymous.
The complexity and uniformity of the combination of brushed and satin finishes reflect the man hours that go into finishing every Royal Oak. Movement, case and bracelet are exceptionally well finished. But at 37mm in size, the question on people minds is “Is this going to be too small?” Especially as the original Royal Oak was 39mm.
Due to the Genta-penned hexagonal shape and integrated bracelet this 37mm example from 2019, with a sought-after blue dial, wears slightly bigger; more like a 39mm watch. Powered by AP’s automatic 3120 movement with 60 hr power reserve, this Royal Oak is a striking combination of sensuous curves and sharp angles, sophistication and sports utility.
This excellent and desirable example comes with its outer box, inner box, papers and instruction books, and is presented in mint, unworn condition with factory stickers on the clasp.
