SUMMARY

A relative newcomer to the world of watchmaking compared to the Grand Maisons, Svend Andersen has been influential in inspiring and nurturing the talents of the new wave of independent watchmakers. Having spent 9 years at Patek Philippe’s Grand Complications workshop, he set up his own company in the late 1970s. Subsequently, in 1985, he founded the AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants. Andersen Genève has established its credentials with both artistic models and high-end complications. The Montre à Tact takes inspiration from the work of Abraham Louis Breguet in the 18th Century. The original pocket watch was designed to be both tactile and tactful, allowing the time to be read by touch while remaining in the wearer’s pocket. This modern version for the wrist provides a view of the time in ‘wandering hours’ format at whichever angle the watch presents itself, allowing the same ‘tactful’ approach.

This watch is created in white and rose gold with a classically fluted case band and a glistening aventurine stone dial.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Please note if shipped internationally, due to CITIES requirements the strap will not be included with the watch
