Recently discontinued, this steel and gold Submariner ref. 116613LB features a striking blue sunburst dial and blue “Cerachrom” bezel insert. The 40mm “super case” has more presence than its stated dimensions would suggest thanks to the wide and squared off lug profile.

Large hands and indices made of yellow gold are applied to the dial and filled with Rolex’s proprietary “Chromalight” luminescence. Attached to the case is an Oyster bracelet with polished gold centre links and an Oysterlock clasp. The built-in Glidelock extension system provides the wearer with 20mm of tool-free adjustment. Housed underneath the screw-down case back is the calibre 3135 movement, which features a 48-hour power reserve, Chronometer certification, and is tested after casing by Rolex to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day.

This 2020 watch, one of the final examples of this reference, is presented in good condition with some light marks and swirls visible on the case and bracelet. Included in the sale are the box, guarantee, booklet and swing tags. Rolex’s five-year warranty covers the watch until 2025.
