Offered by a UK-trade seller, this Rolex Day-Date 40 is accompanied by its outer and display box, warranty card, sleeve, booklets and swing tag. Presented unworn and in mint condition, with some stickers still in place the seller has accurately graded the watch as ‘AAA’. Rolex’s 5-year international guarantee covers the watch until 2025.

Boasting contemporary sizing at 40mm, the case is constructed from rose gold, as are the staple fluted bezel and historically significant ‘President’ bracelet, which are the watch’s most recognisable features. As a result the watch sits on the wrist with unparallel prestige that is only associated with Rolex and the Day-Date.

The sunray chocolate dial and Roman numerals markers compliment the case nicely. Beating inside is the calibre 3255, an automatic mechanical movement that is chronometer-certified and tested after casing to +2 to -2 seconds per day.

First launched in 1956 and the world’s first chronometer wristwatch that could display the week’s date and day through windows in its dial, the Day-Date has become synonymous with luxury as a flagship model in Rolex’s catalogue.
