Offered by a private collector, this Rolex Day-Date reference 128235 is accompanied by its box, warranty card, sleeve, booklets and swing tag. The seller has graded the watch as ‘AAA’ and some factory plastic stickers are in place. 

Classically proportioned at 36mm, the case is constructed from rose gold, as are the iconic fluted bezel and historically significant ‘President’ bracelet, which are the watch’s most recognisable features. The sunray chocolate dial and diamond markers take the watch to a higher level of luxury. Beating inside is the calibre 3255, an automatic mechanical movement that is chronometer-certified and tested after casing to +2 to -2 seconds per day. 

First launched in 1956 and the world’s first chronometer wristwatch that could display the week’s date and day through windows in its dial, the Day-Date has become synonymous with luxury as a flagship model in Rolex’s catalogue.
