This one-owner Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5712R-001 was purchased new by the vendor from a UK authorised dealer in 2019. It’s accompanied by the display box, outer box, travel pouch, certificate of origin, swing tag, booklets and leather folder. Also included is a spare factory leather strap. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and is unworn - grading it ‘AAA’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing no signs of wear on the case or clasp with swing tags still attached.

This watch is being managed by Watch Collecting for the duration of the auction and is being held in a secure third-party facility. Watch Collecting will release the watch to the successful bidder after the vendor confirms they have received payment.

The reference 5712R is immediately recognisable thanks to the integration of several complications, including a moon phase, a power reserve indicator, and a radial date. The watch’s iconic rounded polygon case is finished in 18K rose gold, with a blend of satin and polished finishes throughout. The hand-finished transitions showcase the watchmaker’s attention to detail. Measuring 40mm in diameter and with a thickness of 8.5mm, this Nautilus rests purposefully on the wrist without sacrificing wearer comfort.

The dial is finished with a horizontal embossing emblematic of the model line, with applique rose gold hour markers and hands. The subdial complications feature crisp white numerals, which create both contrast and aesthetic curiosity. Attached to the case is a brown alligator leather strap with a rose gold deployant clasp.

This luxurious sports watch’s 240 PS IRM C LU calibre is visible through its rear exhibition back case. This automatic movement is finished by hand and is characterised by its Côtes de Gèneve-embossed bridges and 22k yellow gold micro rotor.

Introduced in 1976, the Patek Philippe Nautilus is considered to be one of the more elegant Swiss sports watches. Designed by Gerald Genta, its tasteful, iconic design is loved by luxury watch collectors around the world and remains largely unchanged since its launch almost five decades ago.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
