The vendor advises the watch is in excellent working order and its condition appears to be within the bounds of their ‘A’ grading.
In the 50th year since the creation of the original Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, this cult piece is more popular than ever. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin ‘Jumbo’ reference 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01 was released in 2012 to celebrate the model’s 40th anniversary.
Taking its design cues from early examples, it displays the applied ‘AP’ logo at 6 o’clock, atop the trademark blue ‘tapisserie’ pattern dial, and comes in a classically sized 39mm case. Remaining faithful to its sporty personality, the hands and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova - providing superior legibility in all conditions. The case and bracelet are excellently finished, with angular, bevelled, polished and brushed surfaces.
At its heart, the AP calibre 2121 is still one of the thinnest full-rotor self-winding movements in the world, and it is considered by many as one of the most refined and technically impressive automatic wristwatch movements ever.
