SUMMARY
Introduced at Baselworld 2012 and recently discontinued, the ref. 114060 defined a new era of Submariner design. It was updated with some significant changes from its predecessor including a new bulkier case, ‘maxi’ dial, and ceramic bezel but remains the purest expression of the world’s most recognised dive watch.
The watch presents in a 40mm stainless steel case which wears with more wrist presence than its dimensions would suggest, thanks to large squared-off lugs synonymous with modern Rolex design. While the Submariner has well and truly moved into the realms of luxury since its tool-watch beginnings, it hasn’t lost any of its utility. The screw-down trip-lock crown affords 300m of water resistance, and the large white gold indices and hands are filled with Rolex’s proprietary 'Chromalight' luminescence for superior legibility.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
