SUMMARY
With its 18K rose gold finish, this 2018 Rolex Daytona is an ultra-luxurious version of The Crown’s motorsport-inspired watch, which has been a core part of its line up since 1963. A latest-gen watch, reference 116505 draws on Daytonas of the past thanks to its construction entirely from precious metals, and most notably, the absence of a ‘Cerachrom’ ceramic bezel that was introduced - along with the watch - at Baselworld 2016. Thanks to the addition of the rich chocolate brown dial, the reference carries a distinctive, contrasting look that manages to be both purposeful and understated at the same time.
