SUMMARY
The Day-Date is one of Rolex’s most revered designs and upon its release in 1956, was the world’s first chronometer wristwatch to display the date and day on its dial. Fast forward to 2018 and this thoroughly modern Day-Date 40 is sized for contemporary tastes while maintaining the model line’s timeless style. Crafted from 18K rose gold, the watch is paired with Rolex’s President bracelet; a trademark of this versatile dress watch. The dial is finished in an eye-catching sunburst olive green with applied 18K rose gold Roman indices. Beneath the screw-down rear case back beats Rolex’s in-house developed 3255 calibre; a highly-precise certified chronometer movement packing a power reserve of 70 hours.
