ABOUT THIS WATCH
- Since its launch by Omega in 1957 the Speedmaster Professional has become an iconic watch, most noted for its association with NASA and becoming known as ‘the Moonwatch’
- This watch is a limited-edition of 2012 pieces, created the Ultraman to celebrate the Omega Speedmaster that was used in the Japanese science fiction TV programme “Return of Ultraman” in 1971
- The watch has a 42mm diameter stainless steel case and includes the classic Speedmaster aluminium tachymetre bezel. For this Ultraman model the script for ‘tachymetre’ is in orange
- The black chronograph dial is also made distinctive with the addition of orange highlights including the script for Speedmaster and the Ultraman central chronograph sweep hand
- The sub dial at 9 o’clock shows the face of the Ultraman character, fully visible in UV light, and the hand of the sub dial is shaped like Ultraman’s ‘Beta Capsule’
- The watch is powered by Omega’s famed Calibre 1861 which is a manual-winding chronograph mechanical movement
- Deployed on a black Nato style strap which includes a central stripe band of orange, with an Omega pin buckle
