• Distinctively dressy in its style and proportions, the Portofino was first launched in the 1980s and brings some classicaly stlying to IWC's catalogue
• This contemporary reference combines that more pared back styling with some thoroughly technical watchmaking
• Boasting 192 hours (eight days) of power reserve, it houses IWC's calibre 59210 manual-wind movement
• The dial neatly incorporates a power reserve indicator and date complication alongside the Portofino's slender applied hour markers and hands
• Though it measures 45mm, it's reminiscent of the original pocket watch-inspired 5251 from 1984, which was 1mm larger, paying homage to its origins
