SUMMARY
Introduced at Baselworld 2012 and recently discontinued, the Rolex Submariner 116613LN heralded a new era for the Rolex Submariner alongside its all-steel and all-gold counterparts thanks to a series of changes including the introduction of a ceramic bezel insert and a larger ‘maxi case’ and ‘maxi dial’. On this reference, Rolex added a touch of luxury to its utilitarian Submariner with 18K yellow gold touches on the bezel, crown, bracelet centre links, hour markers and hands. Despite its more dressy appearance, this reference is still a highly-capable diving tool thanks to its 300-metre water resistance and highly-legible black dial.
