• Since Rolex decided to axe the Milgauss in early 2023, this esoteric watch has reached new heights in popularity amongst collectors 
• Originally launched in 1956 as a watch aimed at scientists and technicians, this contemporary Milgauss ‘Z Blue’ reimagines the model in a more colourful and attention-grabbing aesthetic
• The dial is striking - made with zirconium - it has a sunburst finish which reflects the light in different ways as it moves across the radial grain
• Perhaps equally as captivating is the green-tinted sapphire crystal, which is exclusive to the Milgauss and creates a halo effect around the edge of the glass
• Orange accents provide additional colour, and the lightning bolt seconds hand is a nod to the original Milgauss 
• Housed underneath the screw-down case back, and covered by an anti-magnetic Faraday cage, is the calibre 3131
• This automatic movement has a 48-hour power reserve, chronometer certification and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds a day
• This 2016 example is offered by a private collector based in the United Kingdom
• A one-owner watch purchased new from a Rolex authorised dealer 
• The watch is presented with a Rolex display box, outer sleeve, warranty card, booklets and swing tags
• A spare link is also included where the bracelet has been sized 
• Graded ‘A’ for condition by the vendor, who advises the watch is in good working order
