SUMMARY
The ref. 116610LV Rolex Submariner - better known in collectors’ circles as “The Hulk” - was launched in 2010 as the spiritual successor to the 50th-anniversary “Kermit”. Never more popular than it is currently, the model has seen a meteoric rise in collectability, especially since its discontinuation in 2020. The watch has a 40mm stainless steel case which wears with more wrist presence than its dimensions would suggest thanks to the large squared-off lugs synonymous with modern Rolex design. The Cerachrom bezel insert and dial are both finished in green, the latter with a striking sunburst finish. While the Submariner has well and truly moved into the realms of luxury since its tool-watch beginnings, it hasn’t lost any of its utility. The screw-down trip-lock crown affords 300m of water resistance, and the large white gold indices and hands are filled with Rolex’s proprietary “Chromalight” luminescence for superior legibility.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
