ABOUT THIS WATCH
- The ref. 116610LN launched in 2010 and ushered in a new generation of design and technology for the world’s most recognised dive watch
- Rolex introduced its all-new 40mm ‘Maxi’ case and a ‘Cerachrom’ ceramic bezel was fitted for additional robustness and scratch resistance
- Despite the upgrades, the Submariner retained its 300m of waterproofness thanks to its trip-lock screw-down crown and Oyster case
- Like all Submariners, it’s paired to an Oyster bracelet
- Rolex’s Glidelock extensions system was integrated for the first time on this generation which offers 20mm of incremental tool-free adjustment
- Internally, the watch is powered by the chronometer-certified calibre 3135 movement which is equipped with a 48-hour power reserve
