SUMMARY

Traditionally a sober-looking watch built for scientists and technicians, the Milgauss reference 116400GV reimagines the model in a more colourful and attention-grabbing aesthetic. The bright orange lightning bolt seconds hand is instantly recognisable and a nod to the original Milgauss from the 1950s. Orange hour markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock continue the colour theme, as do the numbers around the minute track and the name inscribed on the dial.

Perhaps the most eye-catching and distinctive design element is the green-tinted sapphire crystal, otherwise known as ‘Glace Verte’. Unique to the Milgauss, it creates a halo effect around the edge of the glass. Sitting underneath the screw-down caseback and housed inside an anti-magnetic Faraday cage is the calibre 3131. The movement has a 48-hour power reserve and is Chronometer-certified.
