ABOUT THIS WATCH
- The Gérald Genta-penned Nautilus was introduced in 1976 and has since become an icon thanks to its distinctive design and impressive finishing
- Introduced in 2006 as a 30th-anniversary celebration of the original Nautilus, the 5711/1A has grown in status to a point that eclipses the 1976 original
- This meteoric rise in its popularity has been further exacerbated by Patek Philippe's decision to discontinue the model in 2021, cementing the 5711’s importance to collectors
- Offering an interesting alternative to the better-known blue-faced variant, this white dial variant is highly legible thanks to the contrasting black oxidised white gold markers and hands
- On the reverse, a sapphire caseback reveals the calibre 324 SC inside, an immaculately finished movement topped off with a 21K gold winding rotor
