Sell it with usOriginally purchased in 2013 and serviced in 2018, this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak reference 15300OR.OO.D088CR.02 in pink gold is accompanied by its original boxes and documentation and is presented on an AP signed strap and clasp. The watch comes from a private owner and shows only light signs of wear, there’s one light scratch to the bezel at the 10 o’clock position. The leather strap shows signs of use. The lot is offered in ‘A’ condition according to the seller’s rating, and the watch appears to fall within the parameters of that rating.
This Royal Oak reference is a self-winding watch with date display and centre seconds in an 18-carat pink gold case with a silvered dial. The dial is in AP’s Grande Tapisserie pattern, with gold applied hour-markers with luminescent coating, gold Royal Oak hands, also with luminescent coating.
The 39mm case features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and exhibition caseback, screw-locked crown, and is water-resistant to 50m. The strap is made in a hand-stitched large square scale crocodile with an 18-carat gold folding deployant clasp.
Inside, Audemars Piguet automatic calibre 3120 comprises 40 jewels, 282 parts and delivers 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound. This model was launched in 2005 and appeared in AP’s catalogue until 2013. It’s a more durable and technically sophisticated version of the original Jumbo Royal Oak, with a more modern movement and in a 39mm case, just as its designer, Gerald Genta, intended.
