KEY FACTS

  • Launched in 2009 to commemorate 40 years of the legendary El Primero, this limited edition Zenith is inspired by the original A384 from 1969
  • Limited to just 250 pieces, the angular tonneau-shaped case is constructed from 18K rose gold
  • The precious metal finish is complemented by a copper baton dial and contrasting brown chronograph sub-registers
  • A red seconds hand adds sporty character and provides some visual contrast
  • On the flipside, a sapphire case back displays Zenith's venerable El Primero chronograph movement - widely considered one of the greatest automatic chronographs of all time
  • For this commemorative piece, the winding rotor is finished in 22K gold, while the sapphire crystal is stamped to acknowledge the 40th anniversary
  • The watch is secured to the wrist via a brown aftermarket Hirsch leather strap and Zenith gold pin buckle (original used Zenith leather strap is included as part of the lot)
  • Offered by a private collector based in the UK
  • Presented with a Zenith display box, outside sleeve, warranty card, booklet, swing tag
  • Graded ‘AA’ for condition by the vendor who reports the watch to be in perfect working order

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
